PAULA V. MAGLIE
Paula V. Maglie is a graduate of culinary arts and a writer by inclination. She started writing at sixteen and while studying journalism and performing arts. She began writing tales and short stories about different subjects in her native Argentina. Paula has over 29 books written.
She also participated as a culinary specialist cooking on television for various TV programs in Miami and Argentina.
After Paula arrived in the United States over twenty years ago, she worked exclusively as a chef. Among the hotels where Paula worked are The Ritz Carlton South Beach, Miami, and the Saint Regis Bal Harbour, Florida. At that time, Paula thought she wouldn’t write anymore until a critical event shook her life. While Paula was reconstructing the attic of her house, she found old pictures. Also, recipes and some love letters about events experienced by real people who lived long ago.
This discovery triggered the idea of writing books that reveal the secret passions of the first European pioneers that inhabited Miami. And merge them with their recipes and suggestive illustrations based on their photographs.
As a result, Paula took a sabbatical from her career as a chef. Then, she began writing the books of Epicurean Legends, inspired by these actual events that life, in its randomness, gave her the privilege to discover.
